Our Safari Routes
We currently run three regular safari routes, all of which are only suitable for fit and active people. All are of similar length and offer minor challenges, a real experience of adventure, and ultimately a great sense of achievement.
Although there are demanding uphill and downhill sections on all of our routes, there are no technical elements to any of our routes, and all are within the capabilities of any reasonably fit person. The pace is relaxed and the terrain underfoot is mostly good. The purpose of our walks are to enjoy and appreciate the scenery along the way, so we are happy to go at the pace of the slowest member of the group.
Our Quiraing and Storr routes are mostly along elevated and exposed ridge line. In circumstances where there is low cloud or high winds, it may not be practical to access these routes, and a more suitable route will be substituted.
Our Loch Coruisk route includes a couple of river crossings, but in most conditions these are easy to do without having to take your boots off or get your feet wet. After heavy rain however, this route may not be possible to access, and another suitable route will be substituted.
